Surrey RCMP investigate shooting in Fleetwood area

On March 13th, 2017, at approximately 2:30 pm, Surrey RCMP was called to the 8200 block of 166th Street after receiving a report of a shooting. Upon police attendance, a man was located inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite all attempts to revive the individual, he succumbed to his injuries.

The Integrated Homicide Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with the Surrey RCMP.

Police are currently in the evidence gathering stage, therefore no further information will be provided at this time. It does appear from the initial investigation that this was a targeted incident. Further details and media availability will be handled by the IHIT Media Relations Officer.
