Canadian Eyesight Global recently organized its 30th-anniversary gala dinner at The Grand Taj Banquet Hall in Surrey which was attended by over 500 Rotarian and dignitaries including Minister of National Defense Canada Harjit Singh Sajjan, Jinny Sims, MLA, Ujjal Dosanjh, Ex. Premier and MP and Mrs. Raminder Dosanjh , including Mr. Bernie Simpson and associates and leaders of Indo-Canadian community.
Chief Guest of the event, Rotary International President Mark Daniel Maloney inaugurated the and was received by Scottish Pipers accompanied by Punjabi Dhol. The President presented Eighteen Paul Harris Fellow Awards to the volunteers and two PHF8+1 to Satwant Sangha and Dr. David Neima, MD, the members of Canadian Eyesight Global for their dedication and services to CEG. Special thanks to Rotary Dist.5040, 5050 and the host Rotary Club of Surrey, and all supporters including Grand Taj Banquet Hall. Canadian Eyesight Global, formerly Project Eyesight-India, has helped and restored the eyesight to tens of thousands needy and helpless people for restoration of eyesight and preventable blindness in rural India, since 1989.CEG is organizing Free Eye Health Clinics in British Columbia since 2004.
Canadian Eyesight Global is organizing 10 Free Eye Camps in Haryana for 500 Free Cataract (IOL) surgeries in honour of Rotary International President, Mark Daniel Maloney.
