“She’s really smart, really cute and is a two-and-a-half year-old that looks like five,” her mother comments.
Searches continue to take place in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Montana for Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette. Police report that she was taken from her home in Blairemore at about 3:30am on Monday where her father, Terry Blanchette, was found dead at the scene. Sources confirm that the man was stabbed to death an investigation with the homicide unit us under way.
In the meantime, police urge everyone to be on the lookout for sweet baby Hailey.
Hailey’s grandfather stated that Hailey was as supposed to have been dropped off at her mother Cheyenne Dunbar’s home in Edmonton on Sunday.
“She was supposed to show up yesterday, it was Terry’s turn to drop Hailey off,” he said.
Hailey has brown eyes and light brown straight hair with bangs. The vehicle which fled the scene is described as a newer model white van with a large rear antenna and a flag attached. Police urge the public to be on the lookout for both Hailey and the vehicle.
Hailey’s grandmother is pleading to have her granddaughter return home safe. “She’s the most wonderful girl ever,” she said. “I spent three weeks with her this summer and it was the best time ever.”
